Eureka! Calibrated Dichroic Cabochons

I've heard it said it can't be done, that some jewelers don't use fused glass cabochons because they can't be calibrated to fit standard bezel cups. With careful measuring, cutting, testing, and help and impetus from Jessi of Distinction Jewelry I've now got several batches hot from the kiln--calibrated dichroic cabs sized to fit standard 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm bezel cups. Some images are below, and calibrated cabs will be available soon in my jewelry supplies shop.

Below are a range of 6mm cabs, on black and transparent colored art glass:

8mm cabs on black art glass, below. Black brings out the intensity of the dichroic reflected colors.

8mm cabs on blue and deep green art glass are below. Transparent art glass makes the dichroic color a little less intense than black, but gives a really nice glow that works well in a silver setting.

10mm cabochons with blue and purple dichroic on black art glass:

And congrats of figuring out the sizing - it sounds like it must have been tricky
